Looking Is Not Seeing Poster

This perverse poster celebrating Milton Glaser's show at the Visual Arts Gallery (September 2009) violates the fundamental rule of poster design. Above all, a poster must be visible. This poster deliberately challenges that assumption by being barely perceivable. The message emerges only as a consequence of sustained observation. After a few moments of staring at the poster, both the message and the color range become increasingly obvious. A miracle of perception? Perhaps.
